Earth herbarium

The new technologies enable us to escape from reality and even create our own reality. The journey through an endless map of Google Earth, Instagram feed and other social networks, make you look like a God - you can see any part of the Earth from above, look into the life and home of your friends and strangers through the social networks, find almost any information. And if at first you admire technology, looking into them for the beauty and discover new things with their help, the endless stream of information soon begins to capture you and absorb.

Whereas in the first part of the project technology fascinates me, and even allows me to observe the beauty and the interdependence of natural and technological, in the micro- and macro levels, in the second part the flow of the pictures begins to oppress me, something traumatic, repulsive appears in images of the endless feed of Instagram. The third part - a reflection on the future and how the humanity can transform the landscape and the Earth using the technology. Technology allows us to draw analogy between the elements of the landscape of the Earth, namely, landfills, and Mars without leaving home. Waste disposal is one of the results of human activity, technology development, the concentration of human presence and its influence on the Earth. Mars is an image of the planet on which perhaps there once was life. Over-dramatization and some apocalyptic here - it's not a warning against the use of technology, but the way to force the spectator to get out for a moment from the stream, which has taken us and reflect on our experience out of physicality and interaction with technology.
